TV and Online Coverage of Bobsled and Skeleton starts Dec. 11
Los Angeles, Calif., December 9, 2009 – Universal Sports, along with the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (FIBT), presents TV and online coverage of the 2009-10 Bobsled and Skeleton World Cup.
Coverage of the Bobsled and Skeleton World Cup from Winterberg, Germany starts Dec. 11. Winter sports fans can enjoy extensive coverage of bobsled and skeleton competitions across the U.S., Italy, Germany, and Switzerland.
COVERAGE OF WORLD CUP FROM WINTERBERG: World Cup coverage from Winterberg, Germany will be offered on-demand starting Friday, December 11, on UniversalSports.com. Universal Sports TV will offer one-hour highlight shows.

American contenders leading the top of the rankings in the World Cup season so far are Steve Holcomb ranked 1st in 4-man and 2nd in the 2-man, while Shauna Rohbock stands in 3rd leading the US women with Erin Pac close behind in 4th.
Top American competitors in the Skeleton World Cup so far are, Eric Bernotas currently ranked 4th and Katie Uhlaender on the women’s side ranked 7th. Top internationals to watch out for are Martins Durkurs from Latvia 1st in the men’s rankings and Shelley Rudman of Great Britain leading the way for the women. Follow their progress as they fight to move up the rankings in preparation for the 2010 Olympic Games.

The Federation Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing (FIBT) was founded on November 23, 1923 and is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the International Federation responsible for the sports of bobsleigh and skeleton.
